Issue #2: Charity Shop Haul

Okay so I promised myself I wouldn't buy anything else this week because I'm saving up to go to Oxford in September. However, I couldn't resist and bought myself (with my trusty discount) a shirt for the Blondie gig on Monday (woo!), a pair of jeans and a new bag. Although they're not particularly exciting or groundbreaking items, I had to have them.

JEANS
Price: £1.00
From: Extra Care (Where I work)
Label: Burton

Although these jeans are relatively simple I like the little fray bits on the knees. I might customise them and grunge them up a little.

BAG
Price: £1.00
From: Extra Care (Where I work)
Label: Accessorize (Men's)

I needed a smaller bag. Although I do have a passion for bottom-less bags, I'm getting pretty sick of carrying them around when I barely put anything in them these days. I fell in love with this bag though. Pretty simple but pretty pretty!

SHIRT
Price: £1.00
From: Extra Care (Where I work)
Label: F&F [Tesco]

What can I say? I wanted a simple striped shirt for the gig so I got one =].

So lastly, here's me wearing my new shirt. Pimped out with a fluorescent pink tie, of course...even though I hate pink. Please ignore the pot belly.

Inspiration: 80s

Issue #1: Faded Blue Blazer.

Price: £4.99
From: Oxfam
Label: New Man

I purchased this from Oxfam in Chester last week. It instantly caught my eye because of it's faded vintage appearance. Oxfam labeled it as being size 'L' although when I tried it on it was pretty over-sized which was great! I love over-sized blazers as it has a very 80s appeal to it, just look at Duckie's style from Pretty in Pink for example. But yeah, it has no labels indicating it's size just that it's by a clothing line called New Man. I don't know how old the item is but it looks pretty 'worn'. If that's the labels intended look or the previous owners doing, I don't know, but either way it looks great!

I researched New Man but didn't find out much about them. Just that they're a French based clothing company. Their website has a very 'designer' feel to it. Check it out for yourselves at http://corpo.newman.fr/en/

I haven't really wore it yet so I haven't 'tested' what looks good with it really. But I imagine it would look great with some light chinos or black skinny jeans and a faded vintage T-shirt. In terms of shoes I would probably wear it with slip ons or military/lesbian boots. I'll have to give it a try. And for that OTT John Hughes 80s teen look for all your angsty needs, add some cheap white rimmed sunnies [as pictured above].

In a bizzle, guys! x

Introduction.

Okay so this is my first post and I may aswell tell you all what this blog is all about.

Basically, this is a blog showing the many clothes bulging out of my closet. I've always wanted to do something like this so I thought I may aswell give it a try. I hope the stuff I own is worthy of viewing.

So let the catwalk begin...
