Tobacco Leather Boots

Price:
£30.00
From: Asda
Label: George

For a while now I've been searching for a pair of boots that doesn't require me to scrape as much money as I can together just so I can afford some decent looking kicks. However, I stumbled across these babies the other day whilst I was in town with my boyfriend and instantly fell in love with them. Yeah, fair enough George doesn't sound like an exciting place to shop, but they have the odd gem in there now and then.

Plus at the end of the day they're good quality, they'll probably last me a while and they're fucking beautiful. Gonna wear these everywhere for a while haha. They'll go great with my dark jeans and my acid wash jacket. Can't wait to rock these bitches!

New acid wash grey denim jacket.

Price: £30.00 [Reduced from £60.00]
From: Topman
Label: Topman

Long time no see!

Although in my previous post I stated that I basically given up on this blog, I had a valid reason and some motivation to make a post that fits into this site. So here it is.

Basically me and my friend went shopping briefly in Liverpool yesterday. I didn't really have any intention of buying anything. Plus, everywhere I went I was so unsatisfied with the clothes and the prices that I just decided not to buy anything. However, I was looking in the Topman sale rails and came across this beautiful jacket.

I found the look and the style of the jacket quite grungy with a little bit of a metal edge to it, so I thought it was right up my street. The price was reduced from £60.00 to £30.00, which is still a little high in my price ranges with my current financial situation so I decided to leave it. But, all I could think about after leaving was the jacket until eventually I decided to go back to see if it was still there and it was. So, I made a purchase even though I shouldn't really have bought anything considering Christmas is coming up and I need to buy presents for my boyfriend.

The jacket itself looks like it's modeled on a motorcycle leather jacket with the style of the zips and buckles on the collar which I find pretty cool. It was definitely worth buying and I think I'll probably end up wearing this constantly.

I must say though, it's actually strange for me to buy something pricey these days. Maybe I've just got into the habit of buying from charity shops and thrift stores.

Anyway guys, until nice time.

Peace

Been a long time.

I haven't posted on here for a while.

Basically I haven't found the time, the commitment or the inspiration to provide anything to this blog if I'm being totally honest. It started off as an idea with the intention of showing off my fashion choices and because I was bored of Tumblr but then I kinda just forgot about it. I'm slowly getting back in touch with my Tumblr, but even that still fucks me off.

Basically the the situation is that I'm slowly starting up a relationship with someone, and I've put my heart and commitment into that for the past few months to make sure it actually is going somewhere. It is and I'm happy. I'm not discarding this completely [not that I have many followers to care] but for now, this is gonna be pushed aside for a while.

Peace.

The Look: Goth Grunge.

Thought I'd throw a mix of my favourite styles together in this look. As you can see I have the crucifix ear stud, wedding band earring (which are on both sides and have a skullXbones imprinted on them) and vampire bat necklace as my accessories to add that 'gothic' effect. All silver, of course. I also have my new denim shirt which I've been using as my summer jacket for that grungey effect. Found it in a charity shop (which was proper a pimped out like a thrift store) in my town and it was so so cheap it's unreal!

Necklace: £1.00 from Topman
Ear Rings: £1.00 from Topman
Stud(s): £1.00 from Topman
Denim Shirt: £2.50 from a local charity store.

Issue #3: Cord Levi Jacket/Blondie Gig

Price: £0.00.
From: Ex Boyfriend's Dad.
Label: Levi

Anyone who knows me well enough will know that, most of the time, I practically live in this grey vintage Levi's jacket. I wear it atleast 4/5 times a week and it's probably, since last year, my 'trademark' item if you will.

The story behind this jacket is that it was my ex boyfriend's dad's in the 70s and he outgrew it so he gave it to me. At first it did not fit at all so I never wore it. Then as I lost weight it fit me perfectly and I couldn't get enough of it!

I mostly wear it with my most casual of clothing. A pair of slim/skinny fit jeans, a pair of light boots/slip ons and a regular T-shirt. It's the most easy thing to wear whilst still managing to look very cool and stylish.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
On Monday I went to go and see Blondie at the 02 Academy in Liverpool and it was awesome! Debbie looked and sounded amazing! (as you can see above). They even did a cover of The Beastie Boys 'You Gotta Fight For Your Right To Party' which was my favourite part.

However my least favourite part had to be standing around in the rain for an HOUR. I was soaked throughout the entire gig. But it was totally worth it.

I also did a little bit of shopping (of course) whilst I was in Liverpool and got myself a new denim shirt (which I've been using as a light jacket), 2 sets of new ear-rings and a really cute necklace with a bat on it.
And getting those new ear rings did this to me. As you can see I pierced my helix...myself. I also pierced my other lobe which has the same band ring in it. I don't know what possessed me, but I've wanted to do it for a while so I did. Ah well, I love it! =D.

Maybe I'll get some more done soon...hmmmmm...

Issue #2: Charity Shop Haul

Okay so I promised myself I wouldn't buy anything else this week because I'm saving up to go to Oxford in September. However, I couldn't resist and bought myself (with my trusty discount) a shirt for the Blondie gig on Monday (woo!), a pair of jeans and a new bag. Although they're not particularly exciting or groundbreaking items, I had to have them.

JEANS
Price: £1.00
From: Extra Care (Where I work)
Label: Burton

Although these jeans are relatively simple I like the little fray bits on the knees. I might customise them and grunge them up a little.

BAG
Price: £1.00
From: Extra Care (Where I work)
Label: Accessorize (Men's)

I needed a smaller bag. Although I do have a passion for bottom-less bags, I'm getting pretty sick of carrying them around when I barely put anything in them these days. I fell in love with this bag though. Pretty simple but pretty pretty!

SHIRT
Price: £1.00
From: Extra Care (Where I work)
Label: F&F [Tesco]

What can I say? I wanted a simple striped shirt for the gig so I got one =].

So lastly, here's me wearing my new shirt. Pimped out with a fluorescent pink tie, of course...even though I hate pink. Please ignore the pot belly.

Inspiration: 80s

Issue #1: Faded Blue Blazer.

Price: £4.99
From: Oxfam
Label: New Man

I purchased this from Oxfam in Chester last week. It instantly caught my eye because of it's faded vintage appearance. Oxfam labeled it as being size 'L' although when I tried it on it was pretty over-sized which was great! I love over-sized blazers as it has a very 80s appeal to it, just look at Duckie's style from Pretty in Pink for example. But yeah, it has no labels indicating it's size just that it's by a clothing line called New Man. I don't know how old the item is but it looks pretty 'worn'. If that's the labels intended look or the previous owners doing, I don't know, but either way it looks great!

I researched New Man but didn't find out much about them. Just that they're a French based clothing company. Their website has a very 'designer' feel to it. Check it out for yourselves at http://corpo.newman.fr/en/

I haven't really wore it yet so I haven't 'tested' what looks good with it really. But I imagine it would look great with some light chinos or black skinny jeans and a faded vintage T-shirt. In terms of shoes I would probably wear it with slip ons or military/lesbian boots. I'll have to give it a try. And for that OTT John Hughes 80s teen look for all your angsty needs, add some cheap white rimmed sunnies [as pictured above].

In a bizzle, guys! x

Introduction.

Okay so this is my first post and I may aswell tell you all what this blog is all about.

Basically, this is a blog showing the many clothes bulging out of my closet. I've always wanted to do something like this so I thought I may aswell give it a try. I hope the stuff I own is worthy of viewing.

So let the catwalk begin...
